Hello, my name is Chris Nastri and I am a guitar teacher based in Mesa, AZ (Higley and University). I studied in the ASU Jazz Dept, have a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from ASU, I have 25 years of teaching experience and was the lead guitarist in the rock band Frequis for over 10 years. I can show you how to play guitar in the style you want and put together a customized lesson plan based on your goals that will keep you interested, excited and challenged. I also enjoy teaching those who think they have absolutely no musical ability! I will take on any student no matter how young or old or rhythmically challenged. All you need is the desire to become a play music and have fun

I teach many styles: blues, classic rock, modern rock, pop, alternative, heavy metal, punk, jazz, country, jamming, improvisation, composition, songwriting, acoustic, folk, and more. I can customize a method based on your musical goals, whether you want to strum songs around the camp fire, learn to sing and play, write songs, shred, improvise, or learn about scales and theory. I also hold free monthly jam sessions for students to come and perform songs and play guitar in a low pressure, fun environment!
